On April 29, 2012 at Cubanos Restaurant in Silver Spring MD there was a unique opportunity for people in the Washington DC metropolitan area to dialogue with Dr. Norma Vasallo, Chair of Women's Studies at the University of Havana, author, and a leading scholar and educator in the fields of social psychology and global feminism.
Several issues were discussed. Such as national policies for women, abortion, divorce, progress of Cuban women, the history of the Cuban women’s suffrage movement, current challenges for women, Afro-Cuban women, art, culture and more.
